    Abstract

    Anaphylaxis caused by bites of the pigeon tick is repeatedly reported in foreign literature, but there are no data from the Czech Republic. The major allergen Arg r 1 was isolated, but it is not available yet for routine diagnostic tests. Case reports from our department are described in the text, including results of laboratory diagnostic tests provided by collaborating laboratory.
