Abstract

People confined to their home place during prolonged period of time and under psychological pressure, in conjunction with non-availability of their usual food items, due to potential shortage, might be unaware or confused in how to maintain a healthy and balanced diet. In addition, there is anxiety regarding fresh food items such as fruits and vegetables due to potential virus contamination. The COVID-19 Food Guide tries to emphasize optimal dietary patterns during the Covid-19 self confinement to home, as well as several aspects related to food and people safety. This publication intended for the general population is also available in French and German on the website https://sites.lih.lu/nutrihealth-group/covid-19/covid-19-food-guide/
