Socioeconomic determinants of the exposome and its genotoxic effects in children

The goal of this project is to characterize the impact of socioeconomic disparities on exposures to pollutants (incl. pesticides) and their biological effects in children. We will combine quantification of DNA damage, exposome assessment, and evaluation of socioeconomic indicators. The study will be conducted by the consortium formed by the French Institut de Cancérologie de l’Ouest (ICO), the LIH's Human Biomonitoring Research Unit (HBRU) and the French Institut de Recherche en Santé, Environnement et Travail (Irset).
