National Centre of Excellence in Research on Parkinson's Disease

Project Details

Description

We propose to establish a “National Centre of Excellence in Research on Parkinson’s Disease (NCER-PD)”. We will focus on the early-stage diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease(PD) and improvement in the stratification of PD, two of the most important scientific and clinical challenges in the field. All major stakeholders of biomedical research in Luxembourg will join the NCER-PD initiative: namely, the University of Luxembourg with the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) as the coordinator, the Centrede Recherche Public de la Sant ́e (CRP-Sant ́e), the Integrated BioBank of Luxembourg(IBBL), and the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL) as the key academic hospital with a strong interest in clinically oriented neurodegenerative research.
