The overall goal of EHES in Luxembourg (EHES-LUX), was to provide sound epidemiological data in order to develop consistent public health strategy. EHES-LUX is a cross-sectional population-based survey conducted between February 2013 and January 2015. The target sample included residents of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg aged 25 to 64. The survey included three steps: participation in a questionnaire on health status, lifestyle and social background, clinical examinations and sharing blood, urine and hair samples.
EHES-LUX was initially commissioned and financed by the Ministry of Health, with the financial support of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR) and the LIH.
