Project Details
Description
The Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH) and the University of Luxembourg (Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine, LCSB) are joining forces to carry out a national survey on the prevalence of COVID-19 in healthy (asymptomatic) or oligosymptomatic (with a few mild symptoms) carriers in Luxembourg. This study, together with other national efforts currently being put in place, will provide a statistical study on the prevalence, evolution, impact and spread of the COVID pandemic in Luxembourg. This information will make it possible, in particular, to carry out simulations and short and medium-term projections in order to facilitate decision-making on the restrictions to be put in place or lifted. As a secondary aim, CON-VINCE will allow to track the psychological and socio-economic impact of long-term containment measures on the general population.
