This proposal aims at creating a clinical proteomics initiative hosted at CRP-Santé, to provide the clinical environment necessary to develop proteomics-based diagnostics, while integrating knowledge from other omics technologies. The initiative will closely collaborate with other Luxembourg institutions i.e. the University of Luxembourg (UL), the Center for Systems Biology of Luxembourg (CSBL), and the Integrated BioBank of Luxembourg (IBBL). In the initial phase a swift implementation of a proteomic platform with the critical size to enable high-throughput clinical analyses is proposed. The mass spectrometry based platform will leverage novel cutting-edge technologies and a core of highly qualifies scientists with the specific expertise and industrial experience will be recruited to ensure a fast launch.
