Zi Mei graduated from Zhengzhou University (Zhengzhou, China) with a BSc and MSc in Medical Science. Then she started doctoral training and obtained MD/PhD in Medical Science from Peking University (Beijing, China). During her scientific training, she was mainly focusing on immunotherapy. She focused on how to improve the adaptive immune system to accurately recognize and kill tumor cells, for example: CAR-T therapy and different cell death modes. In Oct 2024, she joined the Translational & Clinical Immunology lab to discover the regulators of CD8 subset differentiation using CRISPR screening technology.
