After obtaining her engineering diploma in statistics applied to Health Economics, Gwenaëlle Le Coroller embarked on a two-year stint at a consulting company. During this period, she applied bivariate meta-analysis to assess the efficacy of influenza vaccination across various outcomes for the general population. Additionally, she devised a VBA model to appraise the cost of chemotherapy for breast cancer patients in France. Gwenaëlle also conducted literature reviews spanning a range of ailments, including atopic dermatitis, hyperactive bladder, vaccination, and bipolar disorders.
Over a period of six years, she contributed her expertise to a private company's statistics department, predominantly utilizing the SAS software. She actively engaged in projects under the purview of the European Commission, such as establishing a data collection system for occupational diseases. She compiled publications detailing key statistics for Euro-Mediterranean countries, both for candidate and potential candidate nations, as well as publications centered on Science, Technology, and Innovation in Europe. Her responsibilities extended to data management within the realm of science, technology, and innovation.
Since 2018, Gwenaëlle has assumed the role of biostatistician at LIH. Her responsibilities encompass devising statistical analysis plans, performing sample size and effect size calculations, offering methodological guidance, and executing statistical analyses using SAS and R. Additionally, she undertakes dual roles, involving herself in data management, particularly for the European Health Interview Survey (EHIS) and the Observation of Cardiovascular Risk Factors (ORISCAV).
Collaboration with researchers spans various subjects, including engagement with the Impact.lu project, addressing pollutants (including data under the limit of detection), collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) on tuberculosis research, and participation in wastewater analysis in partnership with the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).
Gwenaëlle possesses a wealth of knowledge concerning handling missing data and managing non-detected values.
Concurrently, she has imparted statistical education at the University of Metz, offering courses on survival analysis and data analysis. Furthermore, she has contributed to the nursing school of Metz by offering her expertise. Her written contributions to MediLux serve the purpose of acquainting healthcare professionals with essential statistical concepts.
