Biosketch
| Elena Monzel receivied her Bachelor's degree in biosciences from TU Kaiserslautern. She later completed her Master’s degree in biomedical sciences at Maastricht University in the Netherlands, specializing in Nutrition, Physical Activity and Metabolism, with a focus on metabolic health and clinical studies. Her Master’s thesis investigated the interplay between the gut microbiome and metabolic health in individuals with obesity.At the LIH, she is a PhD student within the NextImmune2 doctoral training programme. Her current work focuses on the interplay between dietary fiber, the gut microbiome and the immune system. |
