Biosketch
Andrea earned his bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Bari in 2021, and then pursued a master's degree in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the University of Trieste, completing it in 2023. During his master's program, Andrea spent 8 months at the VIB-KU Leuven Center for Cancer Biology, completing his thesis in the laboratory of Prof. Patrizia Agostinis. His thesis focused on investigating the role of the endoplasmic reticulum stress sensor PERK in T cell metabolism and anti-tumor responses. Currently enrolled in the Nextimmune 2 doctoral program at LIH, Andrea holds a shared Ph.D. position within the Translational and Clinical Immunology Group and the Experimental and Molecular Immunology Lab. His research interests lie in exploring the intricate metabolic regulation of T cell responses.
