Agnieszka obtained her BSc degree in Biotechnology and MSc in Molecular Biotechnology at Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland. In her Master thesis project she worked on inflammasome activation and pyroptosis in monocyte-derived foam cells. Within the Erasmus+ Internship program, she joined Prof. Dr. Franklin group in the Institute of Innate Immunity at University of Bonn, Germany, where she focused on interactions of platelets and innate immune cells. Then, during her time in the Dioscuri Centre for Metabolic Diseases, Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology in Warsaw, Poland, she investigated the impact of platelets on insulin secretion in β cells. In 2021, Agnieszka joined the Translational and Clinical Immunology group as a PhD Student. She is focusing on mechanisms of allergen-specific immunotherapy, as well as immune profiling of patients with rare diseases. In parallel, she is developing a semi-supervised method allowing for efficient and reproducible annotation of high-dimensional cytometry datasets.
