Organisation profile

CARES seeks to understand the complex dynamics that impacts health and well-being by undertaking research on health disparities, environmental health risks and healthcare system challenges. Our research group emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, leveraging expertise from diverse fields (e.g. health economics, public health, environmental health and epidemiology) to develop innovative strategies that tackles complex health challenges. We are committed to generating impactful results that will drive positive change in socio-economic, environmental and health service domains. Our research aims to promote health equity, mitigate environmental health risks, optimize healthcare services and improve health outcomes for all individuals and communities. CARES was created as a joint inter-institutional research group between LIH and LISER. It is co-led by Dr. Maria Ruiz-Castell and Prof. Marc Suhrcke.
